Overview
George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital
Walk the grounds, hear the stories and feel the emotions of life–and death–at this historic farm suddenly transformed into a field hospital in July 1863. Interact with living historians as they provide insight and authentic accounts of experiences during and after the Battle of Gettysburg. Access to the historic site is via shuttles from the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center.
The historic site is open to visitors Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
