Description
“A Shock that made the Earth Tremble”: The Battle of Brandy Station
with Chris Army, Licensed Battlefield Guide
Join us for a bus trip down to Brandy Station to study the actions of Union & Confederate Cavalry on June 9, 1863! Our trip will cover the overall strategy for what some consider the largest cavalry battle in the American Civil War, the action along Beverly Ford Rd as the fight opens, the Confederate gun line at St. James Church, the culmination of the battle at Fleetwood Hill and action that took place in Stevensburg. The bus will depart from the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center (1195 Baltimore Pike) at 7:30 a.m. and will return at approximately 5 p.m. The tour will have a limited amount of walking along easy terrain. Lunch will be included.
