The Gettysburg Foundation will announce by Nov. 12 whether this event will take place, depending on weather and the federal funding lapse affecting use of Gettysburg National Cemetery.

Donate: Support the Gettysburg Foundation with a heartfelt donation to the Remembrance Day Illumination by sponsoring a candle in honor or memory of a loved one. A candle sponsorship is $18.63. Sponsorships will be accepted through Friday, Nov. 7 , 2025.

Volunteer: Volunteers are needed to help set up, read the names of the Civil War Soldiers buried in the Soldiers’ National Cemetery, and clean up at the end of the event. Volunteer assignments are limited and will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
